Cures For Bad Breath

Cures for Bad Breath

It may shock you to learn that half the Americans suffer from bad breath. Around the world in fact, over half the people in most of the countries are adversely affected by bad breath. It is fascinating to discover how a lot of people handle their problem, which is discussed very little. So what do we do about it? How do you cure bad breath?

Bacteria, the cause of bad breath.

A great majority of the individuals know what causes of bad breath. The mouth’s bacteria, which live on your gums, cheeks, tongue, and teeth, are the actual cause for bad breath. Once you know this fact you will have a simpler time staying away from bad breath. One important thing to do to cure your bad breath is to reduce the supply of food the bacteria has that causes your bad breath.

The active sulfur compounds that can create bad breath happen to be the waste made as the oral bacteria consume proteins. It is thought that people you eat mainly a vegetarian menu, including plenty of vegetables and fruits, will have less bad breath than those who eat a high protein diet. You do not however need to consume this type of diet just because you have bad breath. The real truth is that people just need to remember to clean their teeth and mouths thoroughly, after they consume food especially though high in protein. There are always small bits of food left in the mouth after eating.

These particles get stuck between the teeth and throughout the mouth especially on the surface of your tongue. This is where the bacteria also sets up shop and causes the bad breath to happen. So through not cleaning you mouth correctly, you allow the bacteria enough of a food source to live for a long time period.

Baking soda….. can it cure bad breath?

Baking soda can also be a cure for your bad breath. You have probably seen it in toothpaste or at least in the ads for the toothpaste. Many brands do come with versions that contain baking soda along with other ingredients. However you can just use baking soda from the grocery store to clean the mouth, did you know this? Make a paste from water and the baking soda. You could even put in some regular toothpaste to make it have a better flavor, the use it to remove anything coating your tongue.  You can take the water and dissolve baking soda in it and gargle it. The baking soda works on bad breath due to it altering the pH your mouth has. It makes the mouth less inviting to the bacteria to grow in.

Drinking green tea that has been brewed but not sweetened a few times daily can combat bad breath. The tea contain polyphenols which reduce the speed at which bacteria grows. Also this tea will also keep your mouth from drying out which will discourage the growth of bacteria. An unalloyed copper is also in this tea which is a scraper for the tongue naturally.

While some home remedies do exist out there for getting rid of the bad breath you have, the things listed above are the most successful. On top of that they are quite affordable and simple to locate.
